How do I borrow eBooks from the library?

Portage District Library has these options:

  • NEW in December 2011! Click here for OverDrivePDL . (children, teens, adults)
  • Click here for OverDrive. This OverDrive service provides eBooks and eAudio books through Midwest Collaborative for Library Services. (upper elementary, teens, and adults)
  • Click here for TumbleBooks. The TumbleBook service provides books for children ages preschool-elementary that can be read or listened to online. TumbleBooks does not require any downloads to view the books.

Who can check out eBooks from the Portage District Library?

The eAudiobook and eBook downloads service through OverdrivePDLis only available to Resident and purchased Non-Resident card holders. Other borrowers must use their home libraries and library cards to download from OverDrive. If you aren’t sure if your library is a member, check the list of libraries on the Overdrive homepage or call your home library for more information.
